I can't remember the last time before I saw this one a while ago.
Bonus Caliber SRT-4.

I just saw one yesterday. One of those small shady used car lots has one. It's the early 90s version.

I saw a later model 929 this morning and had the same thought! I'd love to see a Mazda 9 happen in their new design language.
Oh, and there's really no way a Caliber is a "bonus," even in SRT trim. ;-)

Yeah, you are right. Curiously most Calibers I've seen recently have been SRT-4s.

That old? Never. We see the occasional jelly bean 90's style in here.
There is a Suzuki SX4 SEDAN in the shop today. Forgot they made that/thought they were all hatchbacks.

Wasn't the sedan US-only model? Pretty sure they didn't sell it in Europe at least.

I've never seen the older, boxy 929, but my grandparents had a '92 for 20 years since new. It was a great car and I learned to drive in it. The V6 was good enough and got almost 30mpg hwy. The steering was quick and direct, and the seats were comfortable and really durable. And it wa solid, very nice build quality on most of the car. Only complaints were no cup holders, the steering wheel didn't tilt, and no limited slip rear diff (because... reasons).
My grandmother said they chose it over the Lexus because it looked better; I think it still looks great. It was much higher quality than the newer MKZ they had. Sadly, frustratingly, most 929's that were still in good condition have now been VIP'd and Stanced to within an inch of their lives. There are a couple in my small city that I see every few weeks.
Ours looked like this:

Pointed it out to my friend, it led to a conversation about mller cycle engines.
Also saw a SRT-4 Caliber a couple of days ago, also pointed it out to my friend (same friend) it led to him saying "shut the fuck up, nobody cares about those"

It was sold in hatchback-phobic/sedan-centric markets - India, Japan, the US, and, for some reason, Eastern Europe.

There's actually pretty big market for small sedans in Eastern Europe for some reason.
